How It Works on DG Sets

Brown Gas into the engine air intake ↓

The UDJAN HHO module is installed alongside the generator — no internal engine work. Brown Gas is fed directly into the diesel engine's air intake manifold, mixing with the incoming combustion air before it enters the cylinders.

Inside the cylinder, Brown Gas co-combusts with diesel fuel. It burns completely, catalysing more complete combustion of every millilitre of diesel — reducing unburnt fuel in exhaust, lowering particulate emissions, and improving overall combustion efficiency.

Because Brown Gas is generated on-demand by electrolysis, there is no compressed gas storage on-site. The system starts and stops with the generator — no manual intervention needed.

UDJAN DG modules are self-contained and compact. A single module serves one generator. Multiple modules can be run in parallel on large-capacity generators, or moved between generators in a fleet as needed. Ideal for industrial facilities with multiple DG sets.

Every feature below applies to both the UD-750 and UD-1500. No capability is exclusive to either unit.

On-demand generation

Brown Gas is produced by electrolysis only when the generator is running. System shuts off automatically when the generator stops.

Zero engine modification

The HHO line connects only to the air intake. Fuel system, injectors, cylinder head, and all internal components are untouched.

No high-pressure storage

Brown Gas is consumed at point of generation. No cylinders, no tanks, no compressed gas risk on-site at any point.

Portable and scaleable

Self-contained unit. Can be moved between generators in a fleet, or multiple units run in parallel on large DG sets.

Safety auto shut-off

Automatic shutdown if water drops below operating minimum or if the generator stops. Fail-safe design, no manual intervention needed.

Simple water top-up

Distilled water is the only consumable input. Visual level indicator — low consumption, no special tools or training required.
